Imposing Charges: Consignors may incur charges for costs arising from their fraudulent actions, including but not limited to replacement costs, refunds, and handling expenses.
Return of Items: Fraudulent items will be returned to the consignor, with all associated costs borne by them.
Repossession: Failure to pay specified fees may result in the repossession of items after 30 days.
Management of Counterfeit Items: Counterfeit items may be handed over to law enforcement or destroyed as per legal requirements.
Account Suspension: In severe cases, a consignor’s account may be temporarily or permanently suspended.

4.2 Process of Listing and Selling Products: Once your Side Kicks account is active, you are authorized to list items for sale. This process involves selecting the item, specifying its size, and setting a price. Accurate representation of the item is crucial. After confirmation, your listing will be available for sale, and you will receive a detailed statement outlining expected earnings, accounting for necessary deductions such as handling and shipping fees. Understanding these financial aspects is vital for every consignor.
4.3 Authentication Process: Each item sent to Side Kicks undergoes rigorous evaluation by our quality control team, including visual assessment and authentication checks. Items meeting our standards are then forwarded to the buyer. Typically, this inspection takes about 2 business days, subject to extension during peak periods.
4.4 Right to Reject: Side Kicks has the discretion to reject any item that does not meet our standards. Grounds for rejection include authenticity concerns, non-compliance with our quality standards, or visible damage.
4.5 Failed Authentication: In cases where an item fails authentication, both the buyer and consignor are notified, and the transaction is terminated, with a full refund issued to the buyer. Consignors may incur charges for non-compliant items as outlined in our 'Fees' section.
4.6 Second-Hand Items:
All items on Side Kicks are classified as second-hand, yet they must meet criteria equivalent to new products: pristine condition, unopened, unworn, and in original packaging.
5. Financial Terms: Taxes, Fees, and Offers
5.1 Tax Implications for Consignors: As a Consignor on Side Kicks, you are responsible for accurately handling all applicable taxes (including VAT and other sales taxes) at local, state, federal, and international levels related to your sales. This includes collection, remittance, reporting, and declaration of taxes. Side Kicks may act as a tax intermediary in specific cases as required by law. You must provide all necessary tax-related information to Side Kicks, which may be disclosed to tax authorities in compliance with our Data Protection Guidelines. Failure to provide this information accurately and timely may result in the suspension of your Side Kicks account.
5.2 Fees:
Strike System: Strikes are based on consignor levels and reset quarterly. Level 1: 1 Strike
Level 2: 2 Strikes
Level 3: 3 Strikes
Level 4: 4 Strikes
Handling Fees: Transaction fees vary by consignor level.
Level 1: 12%
Level 2: 11.5%
Level 3: 11%
Level 4: 10%
Payment Processing Fee: Fixed at 3% for all levels.
Minimum Transaction Fee:
Below £49.99: £7.50
Below £99.99: £10
Over £99.99: £15
Shipping Fees:
Single Shipping Fee varies by level (e.g., Level 1: £6.99, Level 2: £5.99, etc.).
Bulk Shipping Fee: £6.99 per box + £0.99 per item.
Drop Off Fees: No charge.
Listing Withdrawal Fee:
Pick Up: £3.99 for the first item, £0.99 for each additional.
Ship Back: £0.99 per item + £6.99 shipping fee per box.
5.3 Invoicing for Fees: If fees cannot be directly deducted from a consignor's balance, Side Kicks will issue an invoice for the owed amount.
5.4 Repossession Rights: Should a consignor fail to settle an invoiced amount within 30 working days, Side Kicks reserves the right to repossess the associated items.
5.5 Buyer Cancellation (Returns): At Side Kicks, consignors have the option to set their return policies. This choice is prominently displayed on our consignment portal, ensuring consignors understand the implications of their return policy decisions.
Accepting Returns: Consignors who choose to accept returns gain a notable advantage: their listed items are prioritized with a higher queue position on our website. This enhanced visibility can potentially lead to faster sales. When a buyer initiates a return, Side Kicks facilitates the process by reversing the transaction and adjusting the consignor’s balance after successful re-authentication of the returned item.
Declining Returns: Consignors opting not to accept returns will have Side Kicks manage any buyer return requests based on our standard refund and return policies. If a return is validated, Side Kicks assumes responsibility for the return, covering all related costs and retaining possession of the item. This decision leaves the consignor's account and balance unaffected as Side Kicks absorbs the liabilities associated with the return.
